FLORIDA SUPREME COURT DECISION THREATENS ECONOMIC BENEFITS OF 2003 WORKERS’ COMPENSATION REFORMS

Today, the Florida Supreme Court issued its opinion in the much anticipated workers’ compensation case of Murray v. Mariner Health/ACE.  The Court determined that expensive hourly rate attorney fees should still be awarded; thus jeopardizing five years of rate savings as a result of the 2003 workers’ compensation reforms. View the official press release from the AIF-led Workers’ Compensation Coalition for Business & Insurance Industry on today’s decision and a copy of the full opinion.
